**WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF UPDATING THE WEBSITE FOR THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL**

Some of the information may still relate to last year’s festival. Thank you for your patience.

Come to Spiddal and take part in the 4th annual “Seachtain Ceoil Chois Fharraige” Irish music festival Summer school organised by Gannon’s Music Shop, from August 7th to August 11th. There will be workshops taking place on all traditional instruments, taught by some of Ireland’s premier artists, as well as Sean-Nós Dancing, Sean-Nós Singing and Irish language workshops. The week will also include various lectures, pub sessions, concerts and afternoon sessions for all students. There really is something for everyone at this week-long Irish music festival by the sea!

The beautiful Gaeltacht seaside village of Spiddal has always been place where artists have come to enjoy the serenity and to create. Spiddal has provided inspiration for many singers, musicians, artists and writers over the years, including super-groups DeDannan and the Waterboys. Not unlike what artists through the years exposed themselves to, we want to couple the great talents of our generation with the values and influence of the area. Whether it be the interaction between teachers and students, pub sessions, lectures or just audience participation, our week will provide culture, knowledge and memories that will inspire and last a lifetime.

Spiddal offers even more that culture - such as beautiful beaches, hill walking, fishing, golf, great food, stunning landscapes with views of Co. Clare and the Aran Islands, nightly entertainment and much more. Located just 20 minutes from Galway city, boasting long days staying bright until 11pm at night, you couldn’t find a better place to spend a week!
